Two questions.

What emulator do I need to play.7z files?

 

Also, if I want to burn these games to CDs, do I need a mod chip to get them to work on a PSX/PS2?

.7z files are like.zip.rar files

 

They are comppressed files and you need an extracter to get them out

 

EDIT: Yes, you would probably need a mod chip. or a boot cd. But a Mod chip is probably your best bet

You can also get one of those slide cards + swap magic disk so you don't have to solder a modchip into your PS2 but I heard it's fidgety and could also hurt your drive.

You can use that thing emsley. That's what I was talking about before.

 

You could also get a solderless mod. You would have to open up your PS2 but you would only be screwing it in so there is less chance you would blow up your PS2 lol

What program would you guys recommend for extracting.7z files? I think I'd rather just play the games with an emulator.
