Wizard Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 It seems rumble is definitely making an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show. While playing the latest build of Burnout Paradise, IGN's staff noticed that the game was giving them some good vibrations -- through a controller. It was a PS3 controller that was a bit heavier than the SIXAXIS and had a funky "Rumble" sticker attached to it. It's believed to only be a prototype, as the rumble technology seemed fairly similar to the PS2 technology. With this bit of news, we expect the formal unveiling of the official, new, rumbling Sixaxis during Kaz Hirai's keynote speech tomorrow. PS3Fanboy

BlackKnight Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Whoooopppsss. I bet Sony is ROLFing at EA now~
Agozer Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 About damn time. Despite what some people say, I feel that the rumble feature should be included with all gamepads these days, and it really brings some "depth" into gameplay (if you want to call it that).
solidius23 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 well the announcement was officially made today im kinda ticked though japan gets it in november while the states have to wait till spring of next yr WTF. sometimes sony can be bastards.
Haldrie Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Consider it this way. Japan is basically using their people as guinea pigs for this stuff and working out the kinks in it before they send it over here.
Wizard Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 Actually, one could say the main market now adays is America. Where revenue is S++. If I recall correctly, before Kutaragi left, he mentioned it wasn't all about Japan any more.
