Rag
I'm new to NullDC so this might have an easy solution. If I use NullDC with either sound plugin (chankast or AICA), the sound crackles during any game. If I try to change the AICA buffer size it just resets to 1024. Could this be a Vista problem or is it just me. Any suggestions? Sound drivers = up to date.
Agozer
For the sound buffer issue, that's a bug in the GUI. You need to change the sound buffer size manually from the nullDC config file. The crackling might have to do with Vista. I'm not sure of this, but I don't remember much if any crackling on Windows XP.
Rag
Could be that the computer I'm trying to play it on is too slow I suppose, its not my regular comp. ;; nullDC cfg file ;;[nullDC_plugins]Current_PVR=nullPvr_Win32.dllCurrent_GDR=nullGDR_Win32.dllCurrent_AICA=nullAica_Win32.dllCurrent_ExtDevice=nullExtDev_Win32.dllCurrent_maple0_5=nullDCMapleDevices_Win32.dll:0Current_maple1_5=NULLCurrent_maple2_5=NULLCurrent_maple3_5=NULLCurrent_maple0_0=nullDCMapleDevices_Win32.dll:2Current_maple0_1=nullDCMapleDevices_Win32.dll:2Current_maple0_2=NULLCurrent_maple0_3=NULLCurrent_maple0_4=NULLCurrent_maple1_0=NULLCurrent_maple1_1=NULLCurrent_maple1_2=NULLCurrent_maple1_3=NULLCurrent_maple1_4=NULLCurrent_maple2_0=NULLCurrent_maple2_1=NULLCurrent_maple2_2=NULLCurrent_maple2_3=NULLCurrent_maple2_4=NULLCurrent_maple3_0=NULLCurrent_maple3_1=NULLCurrent_maple3_2=NULLCurrent_maple3_3=NULLCurrent_maple3_4=NULL[emu]AppPath=D:\ndc\setup\nullDC_100b1\PluginPath=D:\ndc\setup\nullDC_100b1\plugins\DataPath=D:\ndc\setup\nullDC_100b1\data\FullName=nullDC v1.0.0 beta 1 (built Apr 1 2007@18:15:12)ShortName=nullDC 1.0.0b1Name=nullDC[nullDC]Dynarec.Enabled=1Dynarec.DoConstantPropagation=1 Thats all thats in my nullDC config file... am I missing something? Rag
Thats odd... I will just add that portion of code... I wonder why mine is cut short... EDIT: even after reinstalling nullDC I still don't have that portion of code in my cfg file, anyone know why this is? EDIT #2: upon adding those lines to my nullDC cfg the buffer changed to 4096 (and no more crackling, but the speed is a little slow) but if I try to lower it to say 1536 or something, it remains at 4096, its like the emu is ignoring the cfg file, very frustrating
Agozer
nullDC should write the configuration file in full, at the very least after you've messed around with each plugin and configured them. Another Vista quirk, perhaps?
Rag
perhaps... I suppose I could reinstall each time I want to change a setting
