Mooney
A few members of 1emu (including GameCop, Kloplop321, and myself) have received what appears to be a spam email message from an online store called IC2005 about a PSP motion kit. The only thing is, none of us signed up for their newsletter, and I am the only one who had even visited their website before today. Right now, the only apparent common factor is that we are all members of 1emu. Did anyone else get this email? If so, please list any other emulation sites you belong to. We would like to narrow things down and ultimately find out how this site got our hidden email addresses.Heh, um... wups! Turns out, this was just an email sent to all NeoFlash forum members because... the PSP motion kit is a NeoFlash product. Heh. :oops!:

No, it's not spam or virus for sure. As for the e-mails only being directed to moderators ... klopklop321 is a regular user.
Robert
Nothing here - and I'm a member of dozens of forums. However, my ISP blocks all spam, so I never see it - and I mean ALL spam.

Alpha
Good news... after asking around on IRC ... we came to the conclusion that the e-mail came from the NeoFlash forums. http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php ---> http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,4644.0.html edit: And to clarify: Myself, Mooney, and KlopKlop are all registered there. Alpha
Time to untick the "receive email from administrators" option? Not exactly, the e-mail wasn't from the message board ... they simply fetched all the e-mails from their SQL database and sent it by other means.
