JKKDARK
Well we are too biased towards the bands we love. Chart placings since these count just as much as total wide sales of albums sold. 1993 Pablo Honey The Billboard 200 32 1995 The Bends The Billboard 200 88 1997 OK Computer The Billboard 200 21 1997 OK Computer Top Canadian Albums 3 2000 Kid A The Billboard 200 1 2000 Kid A Top Canadian Albums 1 2001 Amnesiac The Billboard 200 2 2001 Amnesiac Top Canadian Albums 1 2003 Hail to the Thief The Billboard 200 3 2003 Hail to the Thief Top Canadian Albums 1Well in comparison too RHCP; 1987 The Uplift Mofo Party Plan The Billboard 200 148 1989 Mother's Milk The Billboard 200 52 1991 Blood Sugar Sex Magik The Billboard 200 3 1992 What Hits!? Gryph
RHCP hasn't really evolved as a band though.
JKKDARK
RHCP hasn't really evolved as a band though. evolved? In the sound? In the lyrics? Any band with a few years on the big scene evolved
L.S.D
They did evolve when they come out with the Californication.
Gryph
I haven't found their last two albums to be as good as Californication. Stadium Arcadium had way too much crap in it.
L.S.D
Stadium Arcadium is also one of the album where you need to take a few listening to it. I thought I buy a dud too when I discover I only like two songs from it, Dani California and Hey oh. But after a few listening, i begin to like some of the slower/weirder songs too. But I think the By the way album is still much better though
Wizard
Wiz, what are your thoughts on this? http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/cop-out/radiohe...uary-309948.phpI already knew about this. They are still thinking which label to go too, or maybe they'll go with XL. The plan is to get that CD out in January 08. As for RHCP, they aren't constantly challenging themselves to change their style (like Radiohead). I do love the Peppers, but Stadium Arcadium was a disappointment (ref: I made a journal entry that cut it from 27 to 12 tracks. I find my selection of tracks to be more cohesive then the actual album as a whole). By The Way had some a few memorables, but to date, Californication is there best album after 1995. While undoutebly Blood Sex Sugar Magik remains to be their top album. Artisic in melody and style and it strongly complements Californication. I guess we could bring R.E.M. into the equation sometime soon, possibly even The Cure as well.
Thaggomizer
Radiohead is for pseudo-intellectual fags who think they're listening to provocative stuff when in fact they're listening to a piece of crap singer like Thom Yorke with a his cadre of half-talent assclowns. I do like Street Spirit though. I think Thom Yorke kinda looks like a monkey :3That he does.
