Shibathedog Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Just wondering, I've been sticking with plain old MAME32 for the longest time, but all these other versions have caught my interest. I used to fool around with MAME32PLUS a little but went back to MAME32 for no real reason. Also why do you use what you use? I'm thinking I should give one of these other versions a shot.
Agozer Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 MAME32Plus!. Started using it because it supported the Neo-Geo Universe BIOS, but these days that reason has started lose ground since MAME has a good cheat engine already. No good jukebox in MAME though. I just use it now because that's the build I've used for the longest, plus now it supports IPS patches (mainly for the plethora of Neo-Geo game hacks and what not).
Diso Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I stick with MAME32. Don't really need those extra features or anything provided by the other MAME GUI Versions. Add the nplayers.ini to mame32 and I'm good to go.
Mooney Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I used to use MAME32, but now I use MAME Plus! and MAME Plus! Plus! (for kaillera).
fumanchu Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 (edited) ive never tried mame on pc for someone who was thinking about starting out on pc mame would mame 32 probably be my best bet? Edited November 21, 2007 by fumanchu
Wizard Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Mame32 ++ 0.117 soley because of Kai. That and I'm too lazy to upgrade to the later, kailess ones.
MasterPhW Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 MAME Plus Plus (0.121), compiled by myself cause of the illegalness of this version... sad but true!
