Shibathedog Posted December 11, 2007 Share Posted December 11, 2007 Yes, You could go for the e6850, but you save a lot more money getting the e6750 and overclocking, The 6850 and the 6750 have similar limits when overclocked, so the like 100 dollar price difference isn't really worth it I think. Also since your getting a Dual Core this opens your options a lot more, A lot of boards can overclock the dual cores great but fail on the Quads. Assuming you want to stick with Nvidia/The Possibility of Dual GPUs, you should check out the 680i SLI chipset based boards. Which unfortunately seem to all be around 200 US and up. Wizard Posted January 9, 2008 Author Share Posted January 9, 2008 So instead of getting the beasty PSU that I showed, I got another one, and it worked for 20 minutes sadly (I got the video card today). So now I'm looking for a good recommendation on a PSU that supports the beefy 8800GTS 640.
