Devia Eleven Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I don't understand why these legendary fighting game franchises decide to make new characters 10 years into the franchise when they have a list of characters used in Alpha, III, and Zero that were basically left untouched. They don't need new characters, they have plenty of characters to mess around with, I mean, Cody would look great in this game, or even Rolento...

Eventually Alpha (Zero) added nearly everyone in A3, while in SFIII just added Ryu, Ken, Gouki and Chun. I know how you feel, I want more III chars, some characters would be viable due to the storyline, Alex and Urien come to mine and some don't like Lee Bros, Ibuki, Makoto. Inky Posted February 15, 2008 Author Posted February 15, 2008 looks good to me. I didn't really see any of the new gameplay mechanics in any of those vids but the straight up brawling looks like fun. new characters are the suck.
BlackKnight Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I stand by my notion that the motion and movement in SF4 is what makes it look badass. Personally I think more and more that this is the perfect visual style for the game each time I see it. I can't wait.
Devia Eleven Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Is it just me?, or do those videos never load?
Inky Posted February 15, 2008 Author Posted February 15, 2008 Is it just me?, or do those videos never load?I watched em all earlier tonight. prolly heavy traffic right now?
Skythe Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I like how the super combos got that cutscene or cinematic vibe to it.
solidius23 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 im liking the gameplay it really is mostly 2d with the 3d background and somewhat 3d aspect of the supers. looks pretty BA im also likeing the look of the new samurai showdown as well.
2eyez Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I have mixed feelings about the "dash" technique. It seems the "dash" movement doesn't cover any distance. I think I prefer the "run" technique but of course we haven't played it yet.
