Why can only admin embed videos?

Its for security reasons. Personally I think it should be allowed for Ultra Members or by request... maybe bring it up in the Ideas On This Forum section?

 

I don't think mods can even edit other people's posts to embed a video they've linked to atm.

Well in another forum I'm registered to, (uses vBulliten), and one of the moderators used some sort of hack to allow embedding in ever sub-forum, I don't know if it would work here considering that this forum is IPB.
