Do you prefer HTML or Flash websites?

I'm doing a university thesis on video games and needed to do a little research.

 

In general, which do you prefer? HTML websites or Flash websites?

 

Very boring I know, but I hope you have time to register a quick response so I can get an idea of the preferences of game players.

HTML here. As cool as flash websites are, I'm really just going to the website to look at screenshots and check out info on the game. It's a little annoying having to watch a flashy video when all I want to see are those two items. Rather just zip through the site quickly.

 

I'm assuming ^ is for game websites only.

But in general, HTML still

html websites fore veryday use, flash for promotional website, like for movies and games.

HTML as well. Flash is a pain in the ass with some computers.

HTML, flash belongs in the dumpster along with PDF, Real Media and all other proprietary formats that suck.

Depends entirely on the purpose of the site. Flash is far superior in some applications and not in others.

 

A lot of the posts are similar criticisms as saying documentaries suck because there are no car chases.

HTML, it's faster, it agrees with my absolute need to be able to look over a page's source, and is not abused as much as flash pages.

HTML myself much faster on load up. But Flash is nice for the sites like Galleries and Small Games.
