RAm question

okay, I got an old S3000nx compas desktop.

now i just this DDr 1gb ram, which ddr is compatbile wiht mines.

My max memory limit is 1gb.

I already have a 528 (or 512) mb on it.

If i take out my standard ram card and put in this one, it shoudl owrk right!?

My mom was saying i need two lesser ram sticks in order for it to work but im not sure.

PLz help!

Okay, i had the wrong ones,

Now i got to 512mb ram sticks...

I loaded them up but my Cpu info says I have

992.

Shouldnt it be 1024mb?!!!?!?!?

Your OS is allocating 32mbs to something else.

 

Do you use onboard video? If so, then that's where the other 32mb's are.

So until i find what using these 32 mbs, i cant play 1gb requiremnt games...how torublesome....
