PSX ISO img over 700mb

Umm hey, i want to know is it possible to still burn a PSX ISO file that is about 730mb when uncompressed using Alcohol with Playstation profile burning method. What i mean is does a file that is larger that 700mb fit on a CD that has 700mb capacity if i would use Playstation proifle with Alcohol whilst burning? Like does it compres the file or make it fit the disc? Im asking this because the Nightmare Creatures ISO i got is like around 730mb uncompressed and i want to play it on my PS2

730MB ISO file? Or 730MB NRG, Bin+Cue or something else? Those other formats have proprietary header data etc and the actual disc data probably is only about 680-690MB.

Have you actually tried burning the image, or did you post this question prior to trying?

 

The point I am trying to make: Often times, even though a CD image is seemingly well over 700MB, it will still fit perfectly on a 700MB CD.

I posted this prior because i kinda wouldnt want to waste a CD but ok i guess ill try to burn it first and then will repost to say if it does fit or no.

You'll get an error message before the CD burns if the ISO image is bigger than the CD.
