my ip ends with .2 and i cant do that in ds2win so i put in .200

 

LOL well thats your answer right there...

 

try putting in .002 instead =)

i entered the right ip and it still stays on connecting status wait...

i also hav 0.8f now

 

what antivirus software are you using? some of them like norton/pccillin have a built in firewall (try turning off worm protection)

im sorry i didnt see that u replyed that .200 should have been .002

that fixed the problem...

is there anything i can do for u.... (win2ds is really slow) it rearly updates the screen

Thats great, I'm really glad you got it working chriss, after our attempts =)

 

To speed up win2ds, make sure antivirus ignores JPG files (won't be needed in the next version, as I use memory streams instead of saving to disk)

 

Also turn full screen updates to SLOW or OFF and leave zoomed screen updates on ULTRA or FASTER to get really fast updates for zoomed screen (or vice versa).

 

Try not to run other programs that use a lot of CPU power at the same time on the PC that is hosting win2ds for optimum speed.

 

I've added a section in the new help file so other people confused about entering IP addresses will benefit from your trouble =)

ill be waiting for the new update =) i need it for it not to be so laggy for me

 

and i cant turn my virus scanner off its mcafee...

I hate it but i bought it so...

try right clicking on the system tray icon (by the clock at the lower right hand corner of the screen) and checking either options to turn off JPG extension scanning, or turn off virus-shield or whatever its called.
