Shoma
OKay, I like to get a demo of a game beofre i play (makes sense) since they dont sell rental for pc games.I got the demo of Swat 4, the game was skipping every 4 seconds and was really hard to do anything! I was my like, man I didnt know my new cpu sucked so bad. But I got the full version anyway and to my surprise it ran tooo smooth! Im curious, is the demo slower than the real game or what? BlackKnight
Demos aren't supposed to be slower than the real game. Some demos are just released before the full version, and have unfinished, inefficient code. That could explain why it was slower.
Shibathedog
I think SWAT 4 uses the Unreal Engine, and if I remember right there was something crappy about packing Unreal Engine games into demos that causes this to happen, I remember it was like this for the UT 2k3/2k4 demos as well. Does it usually happen with PC game demos? No not really, Full versions usually run better because they have been patched a bunch of times, but its usually not that big of a difference like you explained. cody56
I don't really know about this topic, but SWAT 4 was an awesome game. Just wish I could find the 2nd disk. D':
