Well I have read that this is going to be released on the PS3 and 360, (I don't know about the Wii).

Ed Boon, stated that this version will be dark and gritty, whatever that means, but what was really important, is when he also stated that this game will use the formula of MK 1.

Now, I do not know if this is true, but if it is, Mortal Kombat is making a wise decision, considering that MK4 and up just lost the basic MK feel, and it became slow and sluggish. What they should do, is maybe follow the same path that Capcom took with Street Fighter IV, and make the game fully three dimensional, but also have the gameplay similar to that of Mortal Kombat II.

Think of how interesting that would be to see and play.

Snap! Mortal Kombat series may be pretty stagnant, but not that much more so than most of the other franchises.

as long as there is no damn run button and dial-a-combos I am in.

If it uses the same formula of MK1, That'd be pretty nice.

Meaning characters get special moves, ridiculous voices, and obligatory whoopsy.

Sweet, any pictures as of yet? WTB backwards blocking and forward double-tap-hold running :). Hopefully 2D, and all the previous characters ever and it should be sweet. No dial-a-combo please...

So far there hasn't been any pictures posted yet, it is said to be released in November of this year.

If they mess this one up, I will quit on the Mortal Kombat franchise and quickly tear down all of the posters in my room.

I doubt I'd quit playing, considering I play it once a decade anyway. But I'd stick to Trilogy and just forget the rest. I really hope they stick to their complete overhaul like they promised. I really want them special moves back.
