Not at all. The only common factor is that the guy can't die, and they do reference getting his head cut off in the show lol.

It's on Hulu btw (Jitway, you are the f*cking man. I love you in the least gay way possible).

its alright, some minor details appear to tone down the show every now and then, but nothing extreme. I am hooked on the story however
