If anyone can get an account at these private trackers, then so can law enforcement, RIAA, MPAA, or whatever. It's only a matter of time.
Lucandrake Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I prefer private trackers not over a "sense" of security, but the fact that people tend to seed more >.>
BlackKnight Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I prefer private trackers not over a "sense" of security, but the fact that people tend to seed more >.>Exactly. Plus you can get obscure things and still find people seeding them~
gavin19 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I prefer private trackers not over a "sense" of security, but the fact that people tend to seed more >.> Exactly. Any perceived security benefits are clearly non-existant, or as good as.
Sybarite Paladin AxL Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I couldn't care less about security, it's the fact that you find those obscure things that warms me up. Plus, you can always request even more obscure stuff, someone's bound to have them. And most private trackers don't have their registrations up a lot of the time so it's harder for anyone to get an account without an invite.
gavin19 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I just tried my old username/password and it works fine. In Control Panel there is an invitation code generator, although how many it will let me make I don't know. I tried it once though and it spat out an invite.
