Adding separators between the GENRES in MAMEoX128

Gentlemen,

 

It's done.

After few hours my MAMEoX128 has some very nice CATEGORY/GENRE separators.

Now I am really happy...

 

With:

- Sort method by GENRE

- Having SEPARATORS between them

- And using MAMEoX128 in SAFE MODE/KIOSK (everything is LOCKED, so I can only

pick a game to play or exit the emulator) the thing is really cool. Locked mode

is nice because you will never "destroy things" by accident.

 

Later I will post a tutorial explaining how to create the

genre separators. Anyone can do it - You just need to HEX EDIT

the file MAMEoX.xbe and use your own custom CATVER.INI to make the

GENRES better fit on your personal taste.

 

If someone want to try MY GENRES, download the CATVER.INI for

MAMEOX128 Plus here.

 

Download it, put on your MAMEoX128 - inside the GENERAL folder.

Load the emulator, press start and select REFRESH ROM META DATA.

Then, press BACK to change the different SORT methods.

Go for GENRE, and to navigate between the GENRES, press and hold Y together

with UP or DOWN in the D-Pad.

PS. Sorry for the quality of the videos, they were made

I downloaded the wide icons pack that was in the link but these icons seem different from these shown in the images posted in this tread.
