WONDERFUL NEWS for my saturday!

 

I am really really looking forward to be able to play SHINOBI with no glitches and similars like Altered Beast

on FBA-XXX Pro. I really love the way FBA handles the screen - very sharp and crisp!

 

Question - Is it feasible to bring RAIDEN from Mame to FBA?

The VERTICAL GAME options (rotating screen + commands) is a superb feature to

be used on RAIDEN.

 

Also, please remember to check about the bug regarding the COIN button!

It's impossible to change the coin button in the actual FBA build by all means!

games like strider2 wont play on an xbox arcade emu as it dosent have the power under the hood to emulate that game if you want to play that game play it on pcsxbox.

The reason why i haven't release this version is a bug with the Sega games who are

protected with the FD1094 encryption.

 

To be more specific, these games boot on a black screen without crashing the Xbox. I past the last weeks to fix it without success

 

It would be pretty cool if someone can take a look on this or help, because on the one hand, releasing a version with about 100 games that don't boot sucks , on the other hand almost off the others games work pretty well

Raiden and Fireshark already work fine on Mameox. Fireshark is without sound like other Toaplan shooters eg. V-Five, Dogyuun. Fireshark did get a pretty good Megadrive/Genesis port though.

is miles away better in FBA, since it also rotate the commands.

If you use Mameox128 for shmups then there is a Rotate screen option (as there was with all Mameox/Mamedox versions), which also rotates the commands to match. I'll agree that with the filters that FBAxxx has, it can make things a lot nicer to look at!

 

OT but related - I was playing some old MvC, X-Men vs SF etc on FBAxxx yesterday and was changing filters, when I stumbled on 'Superscale Scanlines'. It made such a big difference, at least on my screen. Highly recommended!

It rotates ALL games, and not only the vertical ones. Yes yes... I recall now.

 

Anyway, now that I did learn how to make the Mameox save in different folders

inside TDATA through HexEditing, I think I will build a second Mameox on my

Xbox just for few games that are nice on the rotated view, without affect my main Mameox.

That's what I have, an edited version of Mameox128 which I use just for horizontal shooters. The other big advantage to this is that Mameox128 has autofire which is really needed for some of those games.

Yeah, I'm running it on a 32" LCD at 720p so I don't know either. I'm sure it will improve it anyway

Its an easy mod to change the rotate on MAMEdox stuff to only do it vertical games....... but I dont have the source to do it to HK128 build sorry.
