I think the point BlackKnight is trying to make is that 9 outta 10 Soul Calibur gurus have either neither played or heard of Soul Edge. And most that have didn't do either till someone mentioned Soul Edge. I was fortunate that I've played this series in it's chronological order.

 

And no the game Soul Edge was not in Soul Calibur 3.

Only one game was called Soul Blade and it's the first one.
