Gryph Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/52254 The first entry in the Soul Calibur series of fighting games is heading to the Xbox 360's online Xbox Live Arcade, Namco representatives announced at a press briefing yesterday. Soul Calibur on Xbox Live Arcade will be presented in HD resolution, and feature all of the standard arcade, training, story and survival modes from the original. Though online leaderboards will be available, only the original game's local offline multiplayer is planned for inclusion. The downloadable title is expected to arrive this summer, most likely in advance of the July 29 release of Soul Calibur IV on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Devia Eleven Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I'm guessing that the HD looks will be better than a Dreamcast Soul Calibur using a VGA box.
Wizard Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Higher res textures is what I'm banking on. It's easier to do that then to completely overhaul something in 2D.

Devia Eleven Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 I don't think so, those games were already ported to the Xbox.
