Alpha
Mugen Games? Do you mean characters? Yes you will need a paint program, I'm not sure though. Wait for The_TeamPlayer to see this.
The TeamPlayer
I use Paint Shop Pro myself. But you can use PhotoShop, Photo Impact, or any other paint program. You will need these to clean the sprites and convert them to PCX. In this link I have posted links for programs to aid you in creating characters. http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php...?showtopic=2582 When I get back home from work I will try to help you out a little more. EDIT: Okay I'm home Anyway, you don't HAVE to have a photoshop program. The character maker files that are also on Elecbyte's downloads page can be used to do everything needed. However the ones on there page are for Linux. The Dos ones still float around somewhere but are hard to find. I have them so if you want them I can send them to you. Just don't ask me how to use them cause like I said I use PSP =P Now if you want to edit or create your own sprites you will have to have a paint program. If you have any questions let me know. The TeamPlayer
You can google around and find a program called spritemaker. The dos version is out there somewhere, I found it once. Or you can go the easy way and use one of these 2 programs. -Mugen Character Maker-Mugen Edit Ensemble Of the two MEE has the least bugs. The program I use is called ZCharCad, but I don't know where to find it now either Hope this helps you out.

The TeamPlayer
I doubt they have permission to host these programs. They are direct linking to MGBR's MCM program. Not good.

The TeamPlayer
MCM is only supposed to be found on MGBR's site. Mugen programs are made by mugen fans. Although it was nice to see an alternative for Zcharcad but no dice
