Inky Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I got a sticky button on a xbox360 controller, strangely enough I have never had this problem in all my years of gaming. the X button and start button are hard to push then after some use they are fine until my next gaming session, then they are sticky again. I really don't feel like taking it apart. but I guess I'll have to.
OverlordMondo Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Mash it a few times or get a new controller.
Inky Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 Mash it a few times or get a new controller.new controller is out for now. 50 bucks for a new wireless is retarded. if I mass it some it woll work for a while but next time i use it its right back to being a sticky beeatch.
solidius23 Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 why dont u just take it apart clean the contacts and it should be fine, it should take u all of 15 mins to do.
Inky Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 it's got those little torx screws. I'd have to buy a screwdriver. I guess I'll have to do that.
Devia Eleven Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 You can find a pack at Home Depot ranging anywhere from $10-$15. The pack I purchased contained all Torx heads.
solidius23 Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 yeah i was surprised to find most torx heads come in the sets now a days for under 10 bux.
L.S.D Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I would sure remember not to touch your controller if i go to your house
Inky Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 I've got the 2 needed to open an xbox and xbox 360, (8 and 10 i believe) guess I'll have to get a full set.
