dgille2
THIS IS NOT THE SAME ISSUE THAT HALDREI HAS ALREADY POSTED HELP FOR! This was originaly a PM that I sent to Haldrie with concerns in the issue I am am having with Pokemon Red Version for the Visual Boy Advance. I figured I would also post this message just to see if any other person on this bored can give me some help, or point me in the right direction of a place to look for answers. hey there Haldrie I have read through your post on pokemon save file issues, and I am not seeing anything that is related to my problem, I was wondering if you could give me a little help or insight into another place to find information. I have been playing pokemon red version using visual boy advance and came into a problem that I am really hoping i can fix. I put in a good couple hours of game play today, and did an in game save, then reset the game ( turned my computer of to give it a little rest) and tried to load the save file, but it keeps bringing me back to an old save file that was saved directly in the visual boy advance ( at about 10 minutes of gameplay) and I can not figure out how to restore the other save. in other words. I started playing earlier today and saved the game - in the VBA save. Then I continued to play but only saved in the - in game save ( and i guess not to the VBA) Turned off my computer and turned it back on went back to play and it will only load the VBA data, at 10 min- and I want to get to where i was a few hours later in the game I hope this makes some since and any help would just be amazing. thanks in advance for any help or insight. (please do not slam me for being a noob, i did try looking around for a good while before asking u for some help)
Agozer
Do savestates and SRAM saves (as in, saves made directly from within VBA versus saves made within the game) get saved in the same directory? Does this directory/folder hold both the savestates and the SRAM file?
dgille2
Do savestates and SRAM saves (as in, saves made directly from within VBA versus saves made within the game) get saved in the same directory? Does this directory/folder hold both the savestates and the SRAM file? the problem I am coming across is the save file only contains an earlier save ( one done in the VBA and was saved into the folder with the rest of my games ), and when I then did an in game save ( witch did not overwrite the old file) it seemed to have not go through at all. There is no save data for my last save, but only the one that was done earlier in the VBA and not in the actual game save feature in pokemon. I was wondering if there was any possible way to somehow reach my last save in the game, that did not seem to create a new save file? I hope that makes sense, though it probably does not. thanks again for any help!
Agozer
If the in-game save was not created, then no, you can't get back the progress you made between your earlier save and later in-game save.

I did not think so, but thank you for the confirmation.
