Lucandrake Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Already finished a couple of scenes, about half-way done before I go into story boards. Anyways, I need a camcorder that doesn't have crappy quality, or would allow me to manipulate as much as possible without tapes (only data!!). Before I go out and aim for a $2,000 hi-def one, anybody know any cam-corders that film at good quality? Also, if it can take out that "home-movie" feel, it would be even more awesome, the theme is dark, I wouldn't want the imagery to get fuked up because of the camcorder.
BlackKnight Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Errr.. all pro and semi-pro cameras use tape. You just need to digitise it. Also do you actually know what you're doing, and how much are you looking to spend? I wouldn't recommend buying anything because you couldn't really afford anything worth buying. Unless you're a professional cinematographer don't buy your own gear- just rent from a production house. Or just buy a $500 'cam-corder' if you're not that serious. They're all the same.
Lucandrake Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 Already have a $500 camcorder.... meh. Also, no, I don't know what I'm doing, I'm just jumping into the water without my flip flaps .
