I think I have every shmup for the x68000 plus all the Capcom ports, basically all the best games. I have never played them though. I think I may just fire up X68000X right now :thumbsup1:

Hmm... you got me interested... are there any good emus for windows out?

Personally I like Winx68k High Speed 0.95 found here. You may need to poke about here for the files to get it to boot.

I've had the Windows version of ChoRenSha for ages, didn't realise it begun on the x86000.

Yeah, Final Fight CD is better than the original. Exact same (maybe better) gfx, but with uprated CD sound.

What format is it in? Maybe it isn't properly emulated? Sounds like it is a bad cue file to me.

Make sure the names match up, like this -

RoboAleste.iso

RoboAleste01.mp3

RoboAleste02.mp3

RoboAleste03.mp3

RoboAleste04.mp3

RoboAleste05.mp3

etc

Otherwise I don't know. Any one I have tried has worked no probs. I don't have Robo Aleste to try myself unfortunately :thumbsup1:

I quickly grabbed Robo Aleste there, I always meant to get it anyway. So I ftp it over to the Xbox, no background music, but sound effects work ok. I then try it out on Gens, same thing. Now this version is iso/wav, so I convert all wav to mp3 and then rename everything as I mentioned before -

Robo Aleste.iso

Robo Aleste01.mp3 etc etc

Now it works fine in both Gens and NeoGenesis :thumbsup1:

or just play the arcade version gav. :thumbsup1:

have you tried the x68000 version gav, cause ive been playing it a lot and its an acurate version of the arcaade game, well i think anyway.they both share tha same arcade hardware.

Psst, so does the Genesis/SCD. It too runs a Motorola 68k CPU, has a Z80 which controls the Yamaha 2612 and Ti SN7649. The x68k sports no Z80, but a Yamaha 2151 which the 2612 is backwards compatible with.

Technically, the Genesis is a superior x68k and would logically be more capable of "perfect" ports than the x68k.

their both capable of "perfect" ports.

dont matter how good the hardware is,its how its programmed, their aint a lot between the 2 ports, the segacd version is better because of the music, well in my opinion anyway.
