quick iphone question

i heard that apple doesn't allow the iphone to go those free ring tone sites (or) dont let u d/l any of them....

Can anyone verify this statement?

aren't most of those free ringtone site fake or have hidden charges and bad quality? I just cut my own songs into ringtone length mp3s and use it as ringtone.

There a quite a few underground ones t hat actually giv u good qaulity for free.

I just wanna know if the iphone blocks u from d/ling such ringtomes..

unless u hack your iphone u have to buy ringtones from the apple store or itunes rather.

download them to your computer, then copy them to your iphone.

no breaking or otherwise needed.

 

(although by all accounts you SHOULD jailbreak the damn thing)
