ChronicBurnout3
Hello, I am trying to figure out how to get multipart PC Engine roms to play using Magic Engine. I am trying to get Dracula X Chronicles and Lords of Thunder to work, I go them off romhustler.net I have the Magic Engine demo running fine with other game that downloaded into a single ZIP file. But Im not sure what to do with these multipart files. They all appear exactly the same size and when I look inside them the data is the same: a 54,079,824 byte sized archive (DraculaX). The archive by itself doesnt run, and combining them doesnt seem to make sense as they contain the same files. I tried it anyway nad it didnt work. What am I missing? Agozer
Please post the exact filenames of the files, because it should like you have a split compressed archive at your hands. Of so, you need t extract the contents starting from the first one, other will follow suit automatically. You might have to recompress the files into a single archive afterwards, but until you post what I asked above, I can't give you any further info. EDIT: Thinking back, since Dracula X is a CD game, you ,ost likely have a single CD image, compressed into split archives. So extract the CD image from the archive and them mount it, or if Magic Engine has the support to directly use CD images, use the image directly from the emulator. Although, since you have the demo version of the emultor, I don't think if CD emulation is even available + you have limited playtime.
BlackKnight
You just need to extract the actual roms (ISOs) from the archives youve got. Then you can run them in Magic Engine, although you might need to use some virtual drive program to get the analogue audio working right.
