Well COD4 isn't realistic as other realistic FPS games. It just takes some liberties from Rainbow 6 and OpFlash. CoD4 is an arcady type of an FPS game.

 

That would be putting it rather nicely. I've played America's Army and Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare doesn't come anywhere close to how realistic America's Army is! The grenade indicator is a perfect example of how they're quite forgiving since I remember getting blown up by frag grenades in AA all the time. Then there is the absurdity of the healing ability of your soldier; all you need to do once you get wounded badly in CoD4 is hide and then wait for your wounds to magically heal!
