Mugen character sound help

i just started playing m.u.g.e.n again, first time in a few years, but im noticing that im having the same problem now as i did before

whenever i set a sound to play for a certain character it never works

and this has happened on 2 DIFFERENT computers so i was wondering if anyone knows wat im doing wrong

i go into select.def and type wat every tutorial ive seen said

ex. Takano_miyo, music=sound/04 Bon -karma-.mp3

and ive made sure that that is the name of the mp3

and all of the sound work for the stages

any advice?

remove all the excess spaces and "-" from the name of the song.
