BlackKnight
E3.net has Doom 4 listed as one of the games on show this year, except its platforms are listed as PC and Xbox 360 only... No PS3 love at id? Doom 4 has quite a legacy to live up to. Doom certainly wasn't the first successful FPS, but it is definitely one of the most influential. Follow-ups Doom II: Hell on Earth and Doom 3, as well as 3's expansion pack Resurrection of Evil, only continued to satisfy fan expectations. With id Software co-founder and Doom's architect John Carmack on board, the coming fourth adventure in the series will hopefully be the best one yet.I'm more excited about RAGE than Doom 4 but hey, it's all good, right? BlackKnight
Doom 3 had a lot of problems, but it was admirable at least for what they were trying to do, even if it came off a bit too unintuitive. Hopefully they will pick up the pace in Doom 4 and kind of make it like the old games, but with the bitchin' graphics.
Lucandrake
Doom 3 should be re-named "FPS for the BLind".
Wizard
From what I gather, they want to make Doom 4 more like the tradiational Doom games of Yore but have more of the modern Horror-Fright Pop in YO FACE style. Doom 1 and 2 back in the were scary. Basically, Doom 4 is another reboot possibly.

It appears one of the platforms RAGE will be on will be the PS3 according to the Wikipedia article. Carmack also suggested they will be running the id Tech 5 engine code on the PS3 in this YouTube video:
