L.S.D Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Check the news. I, for one, am excited about this possibility. PSP has been my favourite handheld since its inception and I can't wait to play games like Shenmue on it Hopefully, the emu author managed to pull this off.
Devia Eleven Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I won't really care for this emulator, unless it comes to the point where it runs at a stable framerate.
BlackKnight Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Suppose it is that Devia Eleven fellow who can't seem to settle on a username or avatar. This won't fly- the PSP just doesn't have the hardware for this to even be realistic.

Devia Eleven Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 With the hardware of the PSP, not much future progress can be made.
BlackKnight Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Don't be pessimistic One can always hope.Even if you had theoretical 'perfect emulation' that used 1:1 hardware requirements of the original system, the PSP still doesn't meet that spec. No matter how efficiently the thing is coded it cannot reproduce DC games on a PSP at 100% speed (or even close). Ever. Seems like making this in the first place is a fool's errand.
Inky Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 this will never get close to full speed...... to bad, a handheld DC is a dream machine.
ken_cinder Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 this will never get close to full speed...... to bad, a handheld DC is a dream machine. It's not a Dream, it's a Tream. A Treamcast! Hardly what I would call a portable though, and disgustingly expensive.
