Robert
You'd probably find Winkawaks and Nebula to be quite alright as well, as they both run all those Neogeo fighting games. But, FBA is the one that keeps getting updated, so it *should* be better. Raine is fine, but for me, the sound keeps breaking up. As for MAME, it will only get slower and slower as it progresses. Fatal Rose
As for MAME, it will only get slower and slower as it progresses. Why is that?
Inky
cuz they just keep heaping on more code and drivers and what not. its like a giant house of cards now.
Agozer
As for MAME, it will only get slower and slower as it progresses. Why is that?Accuracy for the sake of accuracy, sacrificing speed in the process.

Autobahn
No, these incredibly smart programmers don't know they are doing this.
BlackKnight
Do they not realize they are doing this? They are intentionally going for accuracy of emulation over speed, under the logic that there will always be faster hardware.
Robert
And that ppl will always keep buying faster more power hungry computers in a world with an energy crisis
Fatal Rose
No, these incredibly smart programmers don't know they are doing this. Maybe you should make them aware of what they are doing?
Agozer
The problem is that it's their emulator, and they are known for not listening to these types of requests. MAME has always been about better and better accuracy (it is, after all, the flagship of hardware preservation efforts), so the developers will hardly change their approach just because some people are unhappy with it.
