I found out about it this morning. What a shame ... I just saw him in Transformers not too long ago. He was probably one of the more famous black comedians.

bernie mac had some really good roles in movies (Transformers and Oceans Eleven come to mind). he lived very close to where i live (south side of chicago) so it has a more local effect...
