The hype about this game is that it's a co-op zombie shooting game where you play with 3 other people and survive a zombie onslaught. It looks flocking amazing.

 

And it wouldn't be a Valve game without a last minute delay or some sort!

yeah I was responding to what fumanchu said. alot of buzz/hype/whatever about a game without necessarily any specifics, as in what's supposed to be so great about the game, as it was with Halo hype rollercoasters.

 

the co-op sounds good though, 4 players compared to Resident Evil 5's two.

The game style is totally different than RE5. L4D is very very fast paced. If you like Counter-Strike then you'll probably like L4D.
