Mame filters how do I use them?

Hi I have mame32K and I can't find the filters to use for the game it says custom filters but that's it. Are they built into Mame or do I have to find them separately. Also if you can recommend a better mame version then the one I'm using I would appreciate it.

if I'm not mistaken, MAKE32K is so old that it doesn't have any image filters.
