Devia Eleven
Here's an unusual story, GTA is actually being portrayed in a positive light for helping to save the life of a family. An 11 year old girl knew from playing GTA the dangers of a potential vehicle rollover. With a bit of quick-thinking, she helped pull out her family members to safety and her Mom commented ""She just knew, from playing 'Grand Theft Auto.' She saw on there that when a car rolls over, it can blow up. She knew that could happen to us." Many disparage the value of video games and their effect on today's youths. Karen Norris, of Streator, will say no such thing. Not after her quick-witted 11-year-old daughter, Audrey Plique, sprung to the rescue of their family because a popular video game showed a potential danger of a vehicle rollover. "She just knew, from playing 'Grand Theft Auto.' She saw on there that when a car rolls over, it can blow up. She knew that could happen to us," Norris said. In your face, Jack Thompson? Gryph
People make Jack Thompson out to be bigger than he really is. He's just some small time shithead who made some noise and whenever gamers bring him up it gives him more power.
cody56
Ok so first we had America's Army teaching people first aid, now we have GTA teaching people real-world physics. xD Seems like video games are doing as good as school.
Tynvar
It's a game... neither good or bad. It is just a game. It doesn't benefit anything it doesn't hurt anything. It's a thing. People are good people are bad. Blaming videogames for goodness or evil is just silly.
ken_cinder
Cars blow up in the movies.......in real life, the odds are 1 in a million that your car is going to blow up FFS. If it does, it was pre-disposed due to problems already present. What I'd like to know, is why an 11 year old is being allowed to play the Grand Theft Auto games. Parents should be blown up.......wait, I don't even need to ask, look at the pictures. Banjo and Mayonnaise sandwiches anyone?
Gryph
When I was in an accident where the car flipped over I crawled out and ran away because I was afraid it would explode or something.
