err I could run that on my 600 dollar PC, not to mention my 300 dollar xbox360, but you go spend your 2000 bucks....

And here's a good reason why Valve games are more successful than other PC FPSes. They're designed to look good and run well on old PCs.

Valve support on 360 and PS3 suck hard. PC version all the way.

ease of use is what clinches it for me on the 360, I am really tired of long installs to find that I need to hunt some drivers, then endless tweaking settings to get the best balance of looks and playability, on a console I just pop it in and go. no hassle, no wondering if my system is beefy enough or whatever. I am pretty much done with pc gaming besides the odd casual game. I spent a decent portion of today uninstalling a bunch a PC games that I never play for one reason or another.

Gryph, who are trying to kid? When HL2 came out, I couldn't run it........at all! Well I could, but barely playable.

HL2 pushed things up some, to the point I needed to buy a new video card to get by.

Well it will only stretch so far behind. HL2 came with DX7 support which was not too bad.

But compared to other big FPS companies like Crytek and id (to a certain degree, they're stuff is SUPER flexible) I've found Valve's approach to be more accommodating of older machines.
