Alpha
There seems to be a new XBOX Live ban wave with custom firmwares, specifically iXtreme 1.4. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=664175http://360mods.net/Forums/viewtopic/t=10906.htmlhttp://360mods.net/Forums/viewtopic/t=10915.html If you have a custom firmware installed, it's best you stay off XBOX Live for now. L.S.D
Damn, luckily my Live expired and I am not online for time being. Hate to be offline since I need my daily COD4 fix (soon to be COD5).
Inky
yeah I've been off due to the NXE, it will be interesting to see if' I'm banned after the 19th when the NXE will allow me to connect. if it is mostly ixtreme1.4 then I am safe. I never upgraded. I am still on 1.1 and survived 3 ban waves so far.

Inky
people seem to think the bans result from playing Gears2 and a few others Early. I don't think that is it though. I think it has to do with the Saint's Row 2 Review copy that got leaked way early. Perhaps MS leaked it them selves to flag consoles.
L.S.D
If that is the case, then I will know when i go online next month :/ Hopefully, i am safe
Inky
I checked my error code..........banned. even with NXE you can check. go to the network testif your second to last line is : Z: 8015 - 190D then you are banned. it's a console ban not an account ban so I could get another 360 but its not that important to me at this time. I was going to check with NXE installed but I thought that even attempting to connect before the 19th was an automatic red flag anyway. I'll just wait until after that. I'm not worried anyway as I haven't played online since GTA4 release night, and before that I can't even remember. I will lose access to my old Oblivion DLC which will be a pain
Inky
yeah the main sting for me is loss of DLC and I was known to rent a movie on occasion. I suppose I could take my hard drive to my nephew's, recover my gamertag, download away, then return my HDD to my console, that should work I think..... last time I played online with other people was right around SC4 came out I think. I hardly ever play multiplayer.
gavin19
I suppose I could take my hard drive to my nephew's, recover my gamertag, download away, then return my HDD to my console, that should work I think..... I'm 90% sure that won't work as the DLC is paired with the console that you downloaded it with, so once you swap back to yours and try to play a game with DLC it will try to verify it via Live, which of course won't be possible from your own console. Only my Oblivion DLC would be affected as I originally bought it on my first 360, so it needs a Live link to activate it each time, having said that, Oblivion is 99% of my DLC anyway. Ah well, we both know the risks. I'm tempted to just try mine now to put me out of my misery.
