I can not connect to my server whats this message mean?

Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NONAME - Neither nodename nor servname provided, or not know

 

I tried to connect to another server that Gryph set up for me and I get the same message.

My old man says they are screwing around with the line today, but if i can see my site then i should be bale to connect Via FTP?

Fixed.

Old man rolled XP back and the firewall was blocking it.

Sorted now, thanks all that read though.
