Trixx_07 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Iv heard you can download games on the nintendo wii but does it cost points as does xbox?
Devia Eleven Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I am not familiar with the virtual currency for the Wii to purchase Virtual Console games or whatever, but I know that it costs money.
Trixx_07 Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 Another thing i want to know is if you can add emulators to your console without modding it or anything.
ken_cinder Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 There are hacks, using Twilight Princess to get a homebrew channel on. As for emulators, I don't think there is any emulators for the Wii yet. There are Gamecube emulators that will run on it though. P.S. I told you I'd chip your Wii when you got it. I can make you a modchip from scratch even.
Lucandrake Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Currency wise $1 = 100 Wii points, average game costs about 800 Wii points.
Devia Eleven Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 There are emulators for the Wii. You need the Homebrew Channel to run them, though. When I had the Wii I downloaded a NES emulator, but I didn't actually play a game because the emulator wasn't configured properly.

Ok so how did you get them to work is there instructions online that you can give me a link too or what?
Devia Eleven Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Before you can install emulators, you'll need to install the Twilight Hack, here are some instructions. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=83479
Trixx_07 Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 Sweet are there any other little add-ons i can do to the Wii that dont cost any $$$$
Devia Eleven Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 With the Homebrew Channel pretty much everything else doesn't cost money. It depends on what you want.
