Tynvar
To me these are all top rated animes 8.5 out 10 or higher. Drama/Comedy Nodame CantabileNodame Cantabile Paris (Currently Playing)KanonEF: Tale of MemoriesEF: Tale of Melodies (Currently Playing)Kimi ga Nozomu EienGankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo Mecha/Drama Eureka SevenCode Geass Code Geass R2 Action/Drama Last Exile From the list you've shown there's quite a bit of anime out there way better than what you have seen, some of those shows I would rate 6 or 5 or even lower in some cases. You still have plenty to choose from.

Drama/Comedy Nodame CantabileNodame Cantabile Paris (Currently Playing)KanonEF: Tale of MemoriesEF: Tale of Melodies (Currently Playing)Kimi ga Nozomu EienGankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo It was different but an OK anime Mecha/Drama Eureka SevenMechs were kool but the story sucked assCode Geass Code Geass R2 Action/Drama Last ExileI never got to watched it after it got licensed but it might have had potential. From the list you've shown there's quite a bit of anime out there way better than what you have seen, some of those shows I would rate 6 or 5 or even lower in some cases. I didnt give my whole list a 9-10, I just posted the ones that I saw from start to finish, trust me, I've seen more, these are just the ones that I actually finished, and I only like mecha animes with realism or some what(i.e. gundam: 8th ms team) gundam wing I liked because of heavy arms. Tynvar
Oh sorry since you wrote "mechs/love/drama/comedy" I thought you meant all those types. Not put together in one. Well Eureka Seven fits that perfectly, love, mecha, drama, comedy. Code Geass fits it even more I think. I've seen Eureka Seven, but like I said, I like mecha to have some what realism, I mean come on, on the show the damn things where surfboarding, I thought it was mecha-goku on the flying nimbus, and Code Geass(which I just checked out on you tube) reminds me too much of Gundam Wing.
