Trixx_07 Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 So i know there has been talk about the Wii homebrew channel i was wondering if there is a way to install it without the Twilight Hack. Dont wanna waste money on Zelda lol.
Trixx_07 Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=33005 I hope they didnt apply the updates to the new consoles already
Tynvar Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Only if you have a mod chip. But I'm not 100% sure.
Devia Eleven Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Dont wanna waste money on Zelda lol. Here's an idea. You could conveniently borrow it from a friend or rent it. You might not want to pay $10 to rent a Wii game, but look at it from this perspective. You're paying $10 to hack a Wii, and you get a good game to play for a week. You don't need to buy a game to perform a hack that takes roughly 5 minutes.
Shoma Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 homebrew being something that can be downloaded?SO i can play wii roms?If so can i play jap roms with this?
Tynvar Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 No Wii roms that I know of. You can burn copies of your games, but from what I read there are some slow reads and errors. I think you can play japanese backups but same problem, slow and glitchy.
Inky Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Shoma, I think you are confusing homebrew with backups... 2 completely different things.
Shoma Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Shoma, I think you are confusing homebrew with backups... 2 completely different things.NO!I know I'm confusing homebrew with backups!Im just not too sure what homerews are, I used to think there were just another form of backups.Which is why i never comment on any homebrew breakthrough. So, might as well fiz my Achilles heel now, Let me get this straight: we cant dl "backups" then burn them, then play them on the wii......USing the wii homebrew channel or any of its sub applications!?
Devia Eleven Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Yes, but the more popular games run better than I expected, so no one should dismantle any backup compatibilities.
Trixx_07 Posted December 24, 2008 Author Posted December 24, 2008 And to date there are no other software mods like this that will allow you to play backups for the Nintendo Wii?
Devia Eleven Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 And to date there are no other software mods like this that will allow you to play backups for the Nintendo Wii? What's the problem with using TLP?
