Lucandrake Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I enjoyed EGM. I could pick up a magazine and read it over and over again until the next month's issue arrived without getting bored. Sad to see them drop out, I'm now stuck with GameInformer, biggest PoS ever.
Inky Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 with instant news sites all over the web, I see no reason for print magazines with weeks of lead time on their stories. what you read in EGM is what was reported on joystiq or whatever weeks before. as for reviews I trust user reviews 100x more then some dude who gets payed to burn through games fast. sucks that they lost their jobs. as for circuit city, well maybe if those tools would have provided some semblance of customer service they would have survived. CC is the worst place to buy electronics I have ever been in, when I bought my flatscreen I went in there because they had a decent price on what I was after, I stood around for 20 minutes looking for someone to help me before I got disgusted and walked out.
Skythe Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 YES! EGM is finally gone. I use to enjoy GamePro till they got rid of their old crew. Major Mike was my favorite. EGM was Satan's used toilet paper.
