Wizard
topic ^- Problem: Windows is being bitchy and I can ping websites with both regular web addresses (eg www.google.com) and via IP address (whatever google's IP address is). But when I bring up any browser, I can't connect to any website at all with either method. The only thing I can connect too is my routers. I've tried ipconfig -flushdns, rebooting the modem and the router to no luck. So I've decided to reformat from XP going to Windows 7 Build 7000. I'm going to do another clean install tonight now that my internet is fixed and after replacing my modem twice (one with the much sexier and newer ADSL+Router combo from Bell that I have to reconfigure :S). Is it a virus that managed to copy it self to my usb key, external hdd or ipod? Or am I just crazy and my PC sucks.
Sybarite Paladin AxL
Well if it's a virus, a couple of virus scans wouldn't hurt? BitDefender has an online scanner, but you'll need to use IE for it to work.
