how much do you obsess over your digital collections?

My music files are organised attentively with album arts accompanying each.

 

My PSP isos are categorised with DEMO, JAPAN and US/EU Version.

 

My movies are organised for porns only with Asian, Non-asian etc

Everything I have is in alphabetical order per category.

see I synced my ipod to my newly fixed liberary and ....... GAAA there are a few albums that are split in 2 for some reason, like they have the exact same artist name, exact same album name, exact same album art. but for some reason they are split with like 7 or 8 songs in one and 4 or 5 in the other. thats the kind of thing that really gets my goat.

In itunes they are not that way. I need to just let go.

I don't have this issue. Are you sure the album's name is correct. Even a capital or a space will be treated as different.

yes I select all the MP3s at once and edit the id3 tags that way. so the artist and album names are exactly the same.

 

first I select every MP3 from an artist and edit the tag. then I select every MP3 from a given album and edit the tag. I also noticed that a few albums that have art in itunes do not have art on my ipod.

ID3 tagging is garbage in iTunes, I remember this well. Switch to Mediamonkey or something.

I don't think media monkey supports the ipod touch 2g. or at least it didn't when I got the ipod. I'll have to check it out again.

I'm not sure either. You could always tag then import. Although you might want something a little more compact than Mediamonkey if that is all you will be using it for.

the tagging and library management in foobar2000 is enough for me

 

I mean, it supports everything

Yeah Foobar is pretty hardcore, I've seen some insane customizations for it. You can turn it into a full blown media center if you want to.
