Inky
see I synced my ipod to my newly fixed liberary and ....... GAAA there are a few albums that are split in 2 for some reason, like they have the exact same artist name, exact same album name, exact same album art. but for some reason they are split with like 7 or 8 songs in one and 4 or 5 in the other. thats the kind of thing that really gets my goat.In itunes they are not that way. I need to just let go.

Inky
yes I select all the MP3s at once and edit the id3 tags that way. so the artist and album names are exactly the same. first I select every MP3 from an artist and edit the tag. then I select every MP3 from a given album and edit the tag. I also noticed that a few albums that have art in itunes do not have art on my ipod.
Shibathedog
ID3 tagging is garbage in iTunes, I remember this well. Switch to Mediamonkey or something.
Inky
I don't think media monkey supports the ipod touch 2g. or at least it didn't when I got the ipod. I'll have to check it out again.
Shibathedog
I'm not sure either. You could always tag then import. Although you might want something a little more compact than Mediamonkey if that is all you will be using it for.
Weirdy
the tagging and library management in foobar2000 is enough for me I mean, it supports everything
Shibathedog
Yeah Foobar is pretty hardcore, I've seen some insane customizations for it. You can turn it into a full blown media center if you want to.
