veristic Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 This seems odd, Why did they sell out to Disney? I thought Paramount/Viacom owned the rights to all the movies, and if anyone could have pushed the brand it would have been Sony (PS3, Spiderman, need I say more?) Doesn't Universal do something with theme parks and Marvell as well?Well they said the titles that are currently under contract/licensing with the various movie studios will remain as they are until later Disney will want to start self-promoting and all that junk.
emsley Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Obvious deal is obvious but it for 20 pence sell it for 300 pence.
Wizard Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Bet none of you knew that Disney lost a lot of IPs over teh last few years, thus getting larger net loss every year. For example, they lost the rights to Winnie the Pooh, that alone is a 5 billion dollar franchise and Disney no longer has it. Marvel is their new money maker! Like I said before, this benefits Marvel because now they have a near limitless cash reserve for fucked up projects like Rulk.
The-Ice-Man Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 This will lead to bad things. I just know it.
Hera Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I hate when money gets in the way. I am not happy. This is just going to ruin everything. Fuck Marvel. Yeah I said it. FUCK them all!
Shibathedog Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 my friend who is super into comic books seems pretty confident about it. If that means anything.
emsley Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Spider-mouse-spider-mouse-dum-de-dum-dee-dum-dum-dum!
