He first made a legit post about GameCube controllers. He probably went through the registration procedure by hand and started using a spamming program once he had an activated username/password.

I think every time a spambot shows up advertising some business we should post faux reviews of how terrible the site/service is. Somehow we are pretty high up there on google searches so we might at least be on the same page as the real site.

Reminds me of my days in RO when Filipino's would degenerate the server with their special brand of shit.

I used to change the spambot question every few weeks to prevent them learning, but it hasn't been done since the forum upgrade due to my lack of access rights.

It's actually amazing how bad the forum spam problem has become... I have a relatively small site and I still get them frequently. They have to be human users at least doing the initial registration as GC said, probably from a third-world country being paid through some type of virtual sweatshop system like the Amazon Turk. The spam bots have become very advanced, but I have a hard time believing they can understand logic challenges, break re-captcha AND manage to circumvent IPB 4.0's new security measures the day it was released.
