Rag Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 (edited) Hey, I just bought Deus Ex 2. I have been waiting for this game for god nows how long. So I get home and install it, and then i get an error message saying I need Pixel shader 1.1 I am guessing this is because of my piece of crap Geforce 2. Can anyone help me on any way to fix this problem without having to buy a new video card please? This should be in Technical Help Edited December 3, 2003 by Rag
DreamCastLover Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 You need a new card I'm afraid. The MX series of Geforce cards doesn't work with Deus Ex:IW. In fact unless you have a top, top of the range PC you won't be having much fun with DE:IW If you have a really old PC then you might be better buying an Xbox with Deus Ex. It could work out cheaper heh
Rag Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 Yep, Thanks. I discovered that I would need one yesterday. Thanks to Cinder and Diso for helping me look for cards
emsley Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Some may disagree but i wouldent buy any of the current crop of nividia cards... Stick an ATI radeon 9500 pro upwards to an 9800 XT pro [big bucks] and the games will run in fear from the power you poses in graphics terms. [i got a radeon 9600 pro its great nothing refuses to run]
solidius23 Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 i got a 9700 pro that doesnt give me any probs yet lol
