Krosigrim
Alright, I need to get a TV. Problem is, there is alot of crap out there! I picked up a TV already but I'm taking that shit back. I don't even want to get started on what was wrong with it. I'll be doing some research but do any of you have any suggestions. I don't want to spend too much more than $500 and I know thats limiting. I need to get the best bang for my buck. In the meantime, I'll be slowly cross referencing anything I find here Televisioninfo.com although... they didn't catch the delay I was experiencing... but they do have comprehensive tests for video quality. Inky
walmart has 32 inch vizio for $468. I've never heard anything bad about Vizio.http://www.walmart.com/Vizio-32-1080p-LCD-Java/ip/10778775
Lucandrake
I love my current moniter/t.v by Vizio. 26" and it was refurbished to boot. It's 2 years old and still no problems.
Krosigrim
Looks like I just may keep what I have. My main issue is with the audio. Its an LG32H20 Damn thing has rear mounted speakers. The audio sounds flat as hell, but thats not the worst of it. The fucking audio has a 1/3 second delay or so. I googled audio delay for LCD and most people mention sound then pic, where as I get pic then sound. I can rectify this by getting a stereo system, which I intended on doing eventually anyway. As for no I can use my Turtle Beach headphones. But if I have a guest, as for now, I'll have to just deal with the audio issue. I was running comparisons on that site, and for the extra cash for the other TV's I'll get a barely increased video upgrade. Everything in the range I'm looking at has motion blur to some degree and even artifacting in some cases. And as I said, the audio wont be an issue in the long run. Unless of course I luck out and come across something perfect real real soon... What do you have Inky? I basically needed a TV now as Fallout 3 GOTY is about to come out. I need a TV for my room ya know.
Inky
I have a 47" magnavox in the living room and a 22" RCA in the bedroom. no complaints on either one. both LCD. I would have gotten a Vizio 47" but they were sold out at the time. My sister just got a 52" bravia that is really nice. my PC monitor has rear facing speakers too. I hate it. never could get it loud enough and there was a small delay. I guess from the sound projecting back then off the wall to your ears. fixed with a cheap set of desktop speakers. Cominus
Cant go wrong with a samsung, but might be a little more than you want, I paid $815 with tax for a 32" but I loved it. (it fell on my head a year later).
VT-Vincent
I like my Sony 32", but I jumped in on it too soon. It's a 720p/60hz model that I paid $1,300 (at employee cost) for about 3 years ago. The only thing that's really getting me is the fact it only has 1 HDMI port and 2 Component hookups. I would make sure that whatever you buy has at least 3 HDMIs because from experience I can tell you that you don't want to have to rely on an HDMI switch - all of them are crap. Cominus, how in the heck did it fall on you? Was it wall mounted?

I have a 50 something here in the living room but it isnt mine... so I had to get something. As for rear mounted speakers... I wonder if thats whats up... sound reflecting off the wall... but no, it cant be in my case... That shit is no lie, a good 1/3 of a second. There is no way in this world sound reflecting off the wall ads so much delay. But im sure it adds to it. I put the headphones on and started singing to System of a Down while it was also pumping through the speakers. My sister was there and she was ... whats the word... You ever use the phone and get the echo effect where you can hear yourself but delayed... it fucks my mind when that happens. I lock up and cant talk because it screws with me too much. Thats kinda what was going on with her. lol Cant go wrong with a samsung, but might be a little more than you want, I paid $815 with tax for a 32" but I loved it. (it fell on my head a year later).Prices have dropped a bit over a few years, but at that price you must have bought a 1080p right? VT-Vincent
Shit man $1,300!!!BRAVIA / 40" / 1080p / 120Hz I know, it's painful thinking about it... these days, the TV I bought would sell for about $500. When I can manage to get my debt down, I'd love to replace it with something like that.
